Welcome To Our Practice

We are a women-led psychotherapy practice

rooted in dignity, inclusion and self-determination

Sarah Kwan, PhD, Licensed Psychologist

My psychotherapy practice focuses on women's mental health, with an eye towards the multiple, and often, competing roles that we navigate throughout a lifetime.

My approach is to listen attentively for what is needed so that we can work together to create your experience. I will not cure you; I will support you with safety and warmth and offer you the tools to lead your life with intention, dignity and self-determination.

Based on my own journey, I am deeply aware that taking steps towards change can be stressful and painful and I aim to create a compassionate environment that de-stigmatizes and demystifies the therapeutic experience.

No matter what we explore or what modalities are offered, I hold that you are complete and whole, as you are.

Deciding to go to therapy or finding a new therapist, and the process of searching for a good fit can feel so new and overwhelming. I've been there and I'm glad you've taken the first step.

I’m profoundly passionate about collective healing and the uprooting of oppression through awareness, healing, and growth. I honor each of our unique journeys and am curious about getting to know yours deeply. I value supporting folks in moving towards greater authenticity and liberation.

Associate Psychotherapist, Adults, Couples & Children 10+

Starting $160/session, Virtual & In-person

Supervised by Sarah Kwan, PhD #28869

I offer in-person and tele-health services for children and adolescents ages 10+, adults, and couples looking to navigate pre-marital issues.

My own journey as Asian-American female who is first-generation and fifth-generation has given me strong insight into what it means to straddle cultures, identities, and inconsistencies. I have a passion for working with individuals who have experienced the feeling of “not belonging” in a society that values binary labels. In order to recognize and honor the diverse identities of my clients, my practice is trauma-informed and rooted in anti-oppression and decolonization.
